2 Bees Farm

We ran into some hiccups trying to get the shed up.  The first one was our trailer tried to fall apart on the way to picking up the shed kit.  The sides fell off and the bottom boards, splittered away as we were going down the highway.  We had to stop and ratchet strap what was left of it back together to make it into Springerville. Below We had already removed the straps and painted it supposedly hunter green.  It looks more Crayola green. So removed the boards with a crowbar and grinded out the bolts.  Added new boards just in time to pick up the shed.  I don't have any pictures of setting up the shed.  We were rushing to try and finish it as monsoon season was starting.  So we secured the last part of the doors as the first rain drops started to fall.  Only one injury, when the wind ripped part of the roof out of my hands.  Overall I would not build this type of shed again.  Between missing...

My accident back in March, kinda changed a lot of our plans.  We still made the move to Arizona because the cost of living is much better here than in Texas.  We had every intention of staying out at the farm. But having to drive an hour an a half for my physical therapy multiple times a week just started to get too time consuming and too pricey on gas.  So we are staying in an RV park in Springerville.  I got a job at the local hardware store Davis Ace Hardware.  The owner is an amazing lady that has been extremely understanding with my appointments and schedules me enough time off for them every week.  As of this last week my doctor decided I could go down to one visit a week. Will left a couple of weeks ago to chase hail.  I have been spending my free time building on the farm.  First project was creating a gate. A lot has been going on lately.  But I should start a month back until now.  Last month during that freak snow storm that hit the southwest, that is when we moved the farm truck from Texas to Arizona.  Of course whenever you plan time off work, the weather will be terrible.  This was the road in front of the farm. It's hard to figure out the scale of this property.   A lot of what looks like bushes are actually fully grown Pinion pine and Alligator Juniper trees. For scale that's our F150 truck next to a tree. We had a lot of chores planned to accomplish this weekend to make our move easier.  But other than leaving the truck, the only thing we did was designate our future driveway.  We have our 911 address set up.  So encase of an emergency, gps should be able to get emergency personnel to our farm.   We can't get mail delivered here.  That isn't a big deal, there were places in San Antonio ...

We just finished our 2019 garden plans for our potager garden.  I can't rave enough about The Farmer's Almanac's Garden Planner.  I originally tried the one through  BHG.com that is free.  It's great if you are doing a small backyard garden.  But it is really limited on what plants you can use or what buildings/planters are available.  I don't believe you can design an area over 100 sq ft.  The farmer's Almac Garden Planner is completely worth the $29 a year, if you need a more comprehensive planner..  It's another $6 for the app, if you want to connect them altogether.  I was able to get 10% off the program the day after Thanksgiving though. The Farmer's Almanac lets you design up to a 10,000 sq ft at a time.  Which I thought at first I would map out most of the farm's growing beds with that.  But I found it too overwhelming.  I personally like doing a section at a time.  Maybe one general full farm plan without...
